Today's Youth

This is our support group for LGBTQ youth. Ages are between 16 and 24 years. They come together to build a safe space for the free expression of sexual identity. Our group offers counseling, leadership training, and health programs especially focused on HIV, substance abuse, and emotional problems. Jóvenes de Hoy also focuses on coming-out issues, family reconciliation, and how to stop/deal with social pressures at they relate to sexual orientation. Recreational activities are an important part of this group. They include sports activities, picnics, camping, and social events as alternatives to bars or discotheques.

Jóvenes de Hoy fosters critical thinking as far as sexually transmitted diseases and HIV, and provides support before and after any health test.
